Mayan Temple   Leave a comment

This is an interior scene rendering of the subterranean chamber beneath a Mayan Temple. I created this using Autodesk 3DS Max 2011 in March 2011. Texture and lighting are the primary focus of this piece. I did not model the skull, generator, or tarantula myself, except for minor changes to the geometry. I created all other objects from scratch and textured everything using Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Concept story: An archaeological dig site is in progress beneath an ancient Mayan Temple, where an archaeologist has now been missing for several days. A misguided fanatic of Mayan religion has taken up residence in this chamber and appears to have been performing nefarious rituals.

Please note that I did not model any of the objects that are displayed here without a wire frame. I only textured these high-poly objects, which account for a majority of the polygons in the scene. The counts in parentheses are for all the objects I created myself.
